What modification will you do in the technique while taking an intra-oral periapical radiograph in a patient with gag reflux?

  2. Have the patient practice focusing on taking deep, even breaths in and out through their nose. Diaphragmatic breathing is a proven method to help the body relax and reduce stimulation of the sympathetic nervous system.
